Safa Brian is a cyclist and filmmaker based in California. After spending his childhood riding in South Africa, he worked his way around the world as a bike messenger and race organizer. Now settled in Los Angeles, he is the founder of Circle X Projects, a media production company through which he produces and self-distributes his work.

Today, his content has amassed 265 million YouTube views, and regularly reaches nearly a million outdoor and action sports enthusiasts worldwide through his short and long-form channels. By featuring himself or other notable riders directly within the frame, Safa creates a visceral, real-time perspective that distinguishes his films. Drawing from surf and skate culture, he brings a progressive sensibility to cycling media—driving cultural evolution and providing a compelling entry point for new riders while remaining deeply connected to the sport's core community.

Regarded as one of the industry’s most prolific creators, Safa is equally formidable on the bike. Cycling Weekly dubbed him the “world’s fastest descender” in 2025, and Olympic gold medalist Tom Pidcock famously called him the “King of Downhill” in Descent Disciples | Volume 13.
